In the battle between the best and the worst team in the IPL 2021 so far, MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings thrashed Kane Williamson’s Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets. Intriguingly, it is the fourth straight victory for the men in yellow and they are yet to lose a match in the second leg of the tournament.

Batting first, SRH’s batting once again let them down and the team could barely manage 134 runs on the board. Nobody really batted well and Wriddhiman Saha emerged as the top scorer after scoring 44 runs off 46 deliveries. CSK’s bowling looked really strong and it was led by Josh Hazlewood who took three wickets and gave away just 24 runs in 4 overs.

Chasing just 135 runs, CSK got off to a great start as the opening pair of Rituraj Gaikwad and Fat du Plessis added 75 runs for the first wicket. Even though CSK’s middle order crumbled and they lost three wickets for five runs, MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu made sure that they and on the winning side.

After the victory, Chennai Super Kings remain on the top of the points table with 18 points. With this, they have become the first side to qualify into the playoff of IPL 2021. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad continue to stay at the bottom with just 4 points.
