Delhi Capitals began their second run of the IPL 2021 in a great style. Facing Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Delhi team defeated Hyderabad by 8 wickets. Interestingly, they won the match with two overs remaining.

Former Delhi Capitals’ skipper, Shreyas Iyer, played a phenomenal knock of unbeaten 47 runs and sealed the match with the help of a sixer. He was well assisted by Rishabh Pant who scored a quick-fire 35 runs and Shikhar Dhawan who laid a strong foundation by scoring 42 runs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad didn’t really look comfortable throughout the match. Batting first, they could manage only 134 runs and didn’t bowl well as well. Their batting completely collapsed and once again, DC’s strike bowler, Kagiso Rabada, took 3 wickets.

While Delhi Capitals have recaptured their top spot in the points table of IPL 2021, SRH are at the bottom of the table. They have won just one match in the whole tournament so far.

Fans took quite a lot of dig at SRH after their poor performance against DC in their very first match since IPL 2021 resumed. While some made fun of their batting order, others brutally trolled them for being at the bottom of the points table.

Interestingly, Twitteratis didn’t forget to make some hilarious memes on DC’s poor fielding. Apparently, there was a time when SRH skipper, Kane Williamson, was dropped twice in the very same over. On the other hand, even though SRH didn’t bat or bowl well, they showed some great efforts while fielding.

Fans of Delhi Capitals hailed them for being at the top of the points table. They are quite proud of how their team played and hope that they continue playing with the same kind of momentum.

Delhi Capitals ended as the runners-up of IPL 2020- losing to Mumbai Indians in the finals. Will they be able to finish on the winning side this year?
