The cricketing world must be glued to their TVs as the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction is currently underway at ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru. Around 600 players will try out their luck while going under the hammer in a two-day event on February 12 and 13.

Last year’s semi-finalists Delhi Capitals (DC) have fared out well thus far as they have covered almost all their bases to put a strong-looking playing XI on the field. DC’s latest addition also included the name of Indian spin bowler Kuldeep Yadav, who has been out of form for the last couple of years.

Meanwhile, the Capitals owner Parth Jindal came up with a hard-hit at Yadav’s previous IPL franchise – Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The Indian business tycoon reckoned that the Kanpur cricketer wasn’t “handled” well there and looks forward to having him with the Delhi-based franchise with coach Ricky Ponting and captain Rishabh Pant.

Here’s why Parth wished Kuldeep Yadav doesn’t perform well against WI

“I don’t think he has been handled well in the IPL for the last few seasons, he is a player who rides very much on confidence. In the environment we’ve created at Delhi Capitals with Ricky Ponting and Rishabh Pant, it is something that we want to give him. He has a lot to prove, and I think the fire in his belly is there and we are very keen to see what he does in the next IPL,” Jindal said on ‘Auction Alert with Boria’.

Parth Jindal also went on to say that he hoped Kuldeep doesn’t perform well against the West Indies during the third ODI match.

“When we looked at the value names, one of the names that stuck with us was Kuldeep Yadav. And we went for him. Yesterday, when Kuldeep played for India against WI, I was holding myself. I hope Kuldeep doesn’t do a wonderful job because then his price will go crazy,” he added.
