The Indian cricket team registered a miraculous win in the fourth Test match against England at The Oval. Virat Kohli’s men beat the hosts by 157 runs on the final day of the game to gain a 1-0 lead in the ongoing five-match series.
Chasing 367 in the fourth and final innings of the Test match, Indian bowlers produced an inspiring performance on a batting-friendly pitch. They bundled out the opposition for 210 runs under a spectacular captaincy by Virat Kohli.
The 33-year-old made some brilliant bowling changes with an on-point fielding set-up for each of the English batters. Moreover, his regular motivational messages and claps were also there for the bowlers and fielders throughout the game.
The Twitterati also fell short of words while hailing the captaincy of Virat Kohli in London. Here are some of the top messages for the Indian skipper’s on-field performance:
“Really proud of the character the team has shown” – Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli leapt massive praises for each member of his side’s playing XI in the penultimate match of the series. The right-hander talked about the character and fighting spirit shown by Indian players thus far in these alien conditions.
“Well, I think the best thing about both the games has been the character the team has shown. We are not looking to survive in this game, we are here to win. Really proud of the character the team has shown. I said at Lord’s as well, I am proud of the character among the top three bowling performances I have witnessed as India captain,” Kohli said during the post-match presentation ceremony.
The Indian skipper shared special messages for the top three performers of the match – Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma, and Shardul Thakur.
“As soon as the ball started reversing, Bumrah said give me the ball. He bowled that spell and swung the game in our favour with those two huge wickets. I think you pointed out his performance. Rohit’s innings was fantastic. What Shardul has done in this game stands out. His two fifties deflated the opposition. I think he batted well in both innings,” he signed off.
