Pakistan cricket team finally broke their World Cup jinx against India.  The Men in Green scripted history on Sunday by defeating India for the first time in an ICC World Cup. It was a bad day at the office for the Indian contingent as they were handed a brutal victory by ten wickets.

The defeat against Pakistan hasn’t gone down well with many Indian cricket fans and they came harshly on the players. Many Indian players were subjected to a lot of hate and criticism on social media. The person who became the target of the most trolls and hate comments happens to be the Indian pace sensation Mohammed Shami.

Mohammed Shami succumbed to a dismal outing against Pakistan. Shami failed to show any intent with the ball and leaked a lot of runs. Though neither of the Indian bowlers displayed a good form of cricket against the neighboring nation, Shami proved to be the most expensive.

In his 3.5 overs, Shami leaked 43 runs at an economy rate of 11.2 without scalping any wicket. The torrid performance of the pacer enraged the Indian fans to no extent and some resorted to abusing and online hate. The seamer’s Instagram handle was filled with hate comments for him and his family.

Seeing Mohammed Shami becoming a victim of online abuse, a lot of fans and the players took to Twitter to support the seamer. Many tweeted in the favor of the pacer. Some fans even remembered the past performances of Shami when he steered India to victory. The pacer has been receiving abundant love and support on social media.
