Blind Cricket, Deaf Cricket and Physically Challenged cricketers, who played a key role in making the country champion in the World Cup and Asia Cup by captaining the Cricket field, sent a copy of the application which they sent to BCCI, as the pre-intimation to the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India.

Mukesh Kanchan, former captain of the Indian Cricket Team for the physically Challenged of Ranchi, Jharkhand, told that the way the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India has directed the formation of differently-abled cricket committee to conduct Disability Cricket in India. “I have sent my application to the BCCI.” Mukesh Kanchan tells that he has played 54 international matches for the country, at various countries of the world like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates and also captained in 21 international matches. India has won 18 out of 21 matches in his captaincy. He was also a member of the Asia Cup-winning Indian team.

Mukesh further said that some people are busy misguiding the officials of BCCI, while they are also as well aware that according to the guidelines of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, there is a direction to take the former cricketers in the differently-abled cricket committee. Whereas those people have not even played a single match for the country in any format. Manvendra Singh, from the Blind Cricket Association, has been the captain of the Indian Blind Cricket team. India has won the World Cup in its captaincy. Apart from Manvendra Singh, Vivek Malshe who has been the captain of the Indian Deaf Cricket team and under his captaincy, India won the World Cup as well as Asia Cup.

Pre-intimation of the applications which is already sent to BCCI, along with a request letter has been sent to the Chief Justice of India of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India so that no injustice should be done with us. Because we are physically and financially not able to fight against BCCI. We are really very grateful to BCCI for announcing the formation of a differently-abled cricket committee and we are just requesting our right according to our merit.
