“He always loses to me” – Shubman Gill reveals the one thing he can teach Virat Kohli

21-year-old Shubman Gill revealed today the one thing that he can teach his captain Virat Kohli in the special series ’25 Questions’ on ESPNCricinfo.
Shumban Gill is one of the many Indian youngsters who made his Test debut under the leadership of the charismatic Virat Kohli. The right-handed batsman made his debut against Australia when Prithvi Shaw failed to perform and was dropped. Gill made efficient use of the chance showing his class against the vastly experienced bowling attack of the mighty Aussies consisting of Jos Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon. The youngster showed no deterrence against the first class bowling attack and played significant knocks of 35*, 45, 50 and a career-best 91 in the series.

In many interviews, Gill has answered about things he can learn from the Indian captain but the recent one conducted by ESPNcricinfo turned out to be a surprise as the opener went on to answer the question of one thing which he can teach Kohli himself. “One thing… FIFA (the game). I know he’s going to be really pissed but he always loses to me in FIFA.”
Shubman Gill also stated that playing the World Test Championship has been his dream for life. It is to be mentioned that Shubman Gill is a part of the Indian squad who are about to face New Zealand in the WTC final in England.
Gill also answered some more interesting questions. The Kolkata Knight Riders batsman was asked which was the heaviest bat he had seen till now to which he revealed to have seen them in the KKR dressing room, which was none other than that of Andre Russell. In the question that followed, he mentioned that the best butter chicken he had ever tasted in his life was prepared by none other than Harbhajan Singh.
Later he was asked what would he do if he gets a time machine. Gill said that he would use it to travel back to the year 2011 when India had the most prestigious moment of lifting the World cup 2011 and to be a part of it. Gill also said that his father was his favourite person and he would love to have conversation on cricket. He further revealed that it was his dream to gift his dad with the T20 World cup on his birthday.
We can definitely hope Shubman Gill to continue his quality form in the upcoming WTC finals and the England tour, to hopefully play a crucial part for the success of the Men in Blue.
