HILARIOUS – Wankhede crowd cheers ‘Sachin-Sachin’ as Shubman Gill smashes four during 2nd Test against NZ

Mumbai crowd cheers for Shubman Gill

The second and final Test match between India and New Zealand is currently underway at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The Indian team is in a commanding position to register an emphatic victory against the visitors and clinch the two-match series.

Meanwhile, a hilarious incident took place during the second innings of the home team when opening batter Shubman Gill was on the strike. The right-hander smashed an elegant pull shot off Kiwi speedster Tim Southee as the ball raced towards the boundary ropes. However, this wasn’t it as the crowd immediately started chanting ‘Sachin-Sachin’ while reacting to Gill’s boundary.

This incident took place as there have been several rumours citing that Gill and Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara are dating each other. However, there is no official confirmation from either of the two but there’s always a buzz around this social media. On the other hand, Master Blaster’s popularity at his home ground of Mumbai is absolutely crazy.

The Virat Kohli-led side had gained a massive lead of 263 runs after bundling out the opposition for a paltry total of 62 runs. However, the ‘Asian Giants’ decided to bat once again after ruling out follow-on from the equation.

The opening pair Cheteshwar Pujara (47) and Mayank Agarwal (62) provided their side with a magnificent partnership of 107 runs before losing their wickets in quick succession. Adding to this, the middle-order batters also performed well, followed by quick-fire knocks from the lower-order batters. Hence, India posted a mammoth target of 540 runs in front of Tom Latham and Co.
