The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was full of drama, thrill, and suspense as it provided the cricket fans with utmost entertainment. The last-over finishes, Super Overs, and high-scoring games made the tournament more thrilling and entertaining for the cricket fanatics. The T20 Championship is now nearing its conclusion as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are up against Chennai Super Kings in the final. 

The Dubai International Stadium is hosting the showpiece event between two of the most successful international skippers, MS Dhoni and Eoin Morgan. There is no doubt to the fact that both CSK and KKR will fight tooth and nail to win the elite trophy. Meanwhile, apart from winning the trophy, the winner will also take home a handsome amount of money.

The franchise winning the T20 Championship will be awarded a staggering amount of INR 20 crores. The team finishing second between CSK and KKR will take home INR 6.25 crores. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals will be awarded INR 4.375 crores each for making it to the top four.

The journey to the final wasn’t easy for both the teams but CSK and KKR defied all the odds in a bid to add another trophy to their cabinet. Chennai Super Kings were phenomenal throughout the tournament as they made headlines with their impressive performance in all three facets of the game. 

The Super Kings finished at second place in the points table and defeated Delhi Capitals in the semi-final to slide into the final of IPL 2021. Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, experienced a roller-coaster ride throughout the league. The team didn’t have an ideal start to their campaign in the tournament but they scripted one of the most memorable comebacks in the second half. 

The Knight Riders managed to make it to the top four owing to a better net run rate. The same was then followed by the team defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals in the knockout matches to confirm a berth in the final.
