In the sixth match of IPL 2022, there is a clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders at the DY Watil Stadium in Navi Mumbai today. Kolkata started the season with a win against defending champions Chennai Super Kings. On the other hand, RCB had to face defeat despite a brilliant performance against Punjab Kings. This is the second match for both the teams. While RCB, captained by Faf du Plessis, would like to regain the winning momentum in this match, KKR, captained by Shreyas Iyer, would like to maintain the winning streak.
RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and decided to bowl first. RCB team has not made any changes in the team of their first match. KKR have given Tim Southee a chance in place of Shivam Mavi. This is a change in the team. The sixth match of IPL 2022 is being played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders. In this, KKR gave a target of 129 runs to RCB. During this, the bowlers of RCB performed brilliantly. Wanindu Hasaranga took 4 wickets for the team. Harshal Patel and Akash Deep also sent important players to the pavilion.
After losing the toss and batting first, Andre Russell scored the highest 25 runs for KKR. He scored 25 runs in 18 balls with the help of 3 sixes and a four. While opener Ajinkya Rahane scored 9 runs and Venkatesh Iyer got out after scoring 10 runs. Captain Shreyas Iyer also could not do much. He got out after scoring just 12 runs.
Nitish Rana faced 5 balls and scored 10 runs with the help of a four and a six. Sunil Narine went on after scoring 12 runs and Sam Billings scored 14 runs. Wicketkeeper batsman Sheldon Jackson could not even open the account. He got out on the very first ball. In the end, Umesh Yadav scored 18 runs in 12 balls. He hit 2 fours and a six. In this way, KKR scored 128 runs in 18.5 overs till all out.
Wanindu Hasaranga bowled brilliantly for RCB. He took 4 important wickets in 4 overs giving just 20 runs. Harshal Patel took 2 wickets for 11 runs in 4 overs. He also took out 2 maiden overs. Mohammad Siraj also bowled well. He took one wicket for 25 runs in 4 overs.
