In the 34th match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, Australia are up against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Stadium. Following a poor performance, Bangladesh have ruled out all the possibilities of them qualifying for the next round of the T20 Championship.

Australia, on the other hand, are playing a must-win encounter as their qualification chances are hanging by a thread. Put to bat first, Bangladesh delivered a below-average batting performance. The team ended up scoring just 73 runs while losing all their wickets within 15 overs.

The credit for the same also goes to Australian bowlers as they were clinical in their approach. The leg-spinner Adam Zampa delivered a standout performance with the ball as he picked a total of five wickets. The 29-year-old also had a chance of picking up a hat-trick but the keeper Matthew Wade dropped an easy catch.

On the fifth ball of the 11th over, Adam Zampa dismissed Shamim Hossain. Hossain failed to read a googly and ended up edging the ball to wicketkeeper Matthew Wade. The next delivery saw Mahedi Hasan walking back to the pavilion due to an lbw. Thus, when Zampa returned to the attack in the 15th over, he had the opportunity to take a hattrick.

On the first ball of the 15th over, the spinner was successful in deceiving the on-strike batter Taskin Ahmed. Ahmed got a nick when he was attempting to play a drive on a googly outside off. The ball went to Wade, however, the keeper caused a blunder as he dropped an easy catch.

The missed opportunity by Wade paved the way for banter between Adam Zampa and Matthew Wade. Zampa seemed frustrated as he reminded Wade that it was his hat-trick ball. The wicketkeeper acknowledged the same saying that he tried to catch it.

Meanwhile, Zampa ended with five wickets as he played a major role in restricting Bangladesh to a score of 73. Australia easily chased the total in 6.2 overs to register a big win by eight wickets.
