Mahendra Singh Dhoni entered international cricket in 2004. At starting he faced many difficulties to confirm his position in the team. But as time passes the cricketing world came to know the real talent he possesses. He was well known for his newly invented shot known as Helicopter Shot. The whole world has always admired his finishing abilities.

However, In few years he was handed the captainship of the Indian Team in 2007. In his first year of captaincy, he won the major ICC Tournament, Which was T20 World Cup. Then he did not stop and went on to win two other major ICC Trophies For India which include ICC World Cup 2011 and ICC Champions Trophy 2013. By his silent mind games, peace of mind, and cool nature on the cricket field, he was given a new name “Captain Cool”.

Cool and Calm, are the few words associated with MS Dhoni. But after all, he is a human being, he also lost his temper on certain occasions on the cricketing field.

1. New Zealand Tour in 2014

Mohammed Shami recently revealed how MS Dhoni took him on remand for bowling a bouncer during a Test Match against New Zealand. Shami recalled that he was so much frustrated when McCullum and one another kiwi player catch was dropped on his bowling. It was the match in which McCullum went on to score a memorable triple-century. MS Dhoni was angry with Shami and asked him why he had done that, the pacer lied saying the ball slipped out of his hand. Dhoni replied, “I am a senior cricketer. Have seen several players walk in and out of this team. Don’t lie to me. I am your captain, don’t fool me.”

2. Australia CB Series in 2012

MS Dhoni had stumped Australian batsman Michael Hussey off Suresh Raina’s delivery during an ODI in 2012. The decision was referred to the third umpire and the replay showed that Hussey had some part of his shoe behind the crease. But Shockingly, the big screen on the ground showed Out and the Australian batsman started walking off. However, on-field umpires called Hussey back and asked him to stay back due to which MS Dhoni lost his cool and looked displeased with the decision. He was told that the TV umpire had pressed the wrong button by mistake

3. Bangladesh ODI in 2015

In the match, the bowler named Mustafizur Rahman was coming in the way of India’s batsman, while they were running on the pitch. First, he came in the way of Rohit Sharma but luckily the batsman survives the chance of running out, and he also warned Mustafizur not to do this again. But the bowler did the same with Indian Captain MS Dhoni, by coming in between the wickets to which MS Dhoni lost his cool and pushed the bowler with his arm and the bowler suffered an injury due to which he was sent off from the field. Both were fined for the incident – Dhoni 75 percent while Mustafizur 50 percent of his match fee.

4. Sri Lanka T20 in 2017

Spinner Kuldeep Yadav too had to bear Dhoni’s anger as he not bowled according to plan and field set by the captain. Dhoni screamed at the chinaman bowler.

“Kusal (Perera) smashed a boundary over the covers. MS Dhoni shouted from behind the wickets and asked me to change the fielding. I did not listen to his suggestion and in the next ball, Kusal hit another boundary through the reverse sweep now,” the bowler recalled recently.

5. Rajasthan Royals in 2019 IPL

During a close match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, CSK required eight runs from the final three balls. Ben Stokes of RR bowled a full toss to Mitchell Santner to which the umpire called it a no-ball immediately. But then changed his mind after consulting with the square-leg umpire. The delivery was deemed legal. Angry Dhoni, who had been dismissed earlier in the over, walked into the field, protesting the decision. However, CSK went on to win the match with a last-ball six from Santner.
