It is no doubt that the Rajasthan Royals did a fantastic job of building a strong team in the recent IPL mega auction. As part of the IPL 2022 mega auction last month in Bengaluru, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) acquired the services of veteran leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. The franchise shared a video of the backroom staff which showed how happy they were to have Chahal on board. The Haryana cricketer was also thrilled to join the pink brigade.

The India spinner spent three years warming the bench for Mumbai Indians before joining Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2014. Since that time, Chahal has picked up 139 wickets in 114 games at a 7.59 economy rate. As Yuzvendra Chahal said after joining Rajasthan Royals, “It’ll be fun”. Chahal is regarded as one of the best leg-spinners in world cricket due to his ability to take wickets in mid-overs and to turn a match on its head.

He stated: “Thank you Rajasthan family for showing faith in me and having me and can’t wait to work with Kumar Sangakkara, Sanju my Chintu brother and admin, be careful. It’s going to be fun. The Rajasthan Royals will be led by Yuzi Chahal and another tricky customer, Ravichandran Ashwin, in the spin unit when the IPL 2022 begins on March 26.
