“2019 semifinal recreation,” Netizens react as Trent Boult dismisses Virat Kohli for golden duck in RCB vs RR
With Kohli falling to a left-arm pacer yet again, fans started sharing their views on Twitter.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) took on Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Sunday afternoon at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. RCB’s stand-in captain Virat Kohli once again lost the toss and was invited to bat first. Kohli came out to open the innings alongside Faf du Plessis but only to get dismissed for a golden duck. And it was none other than Trent Boult to do the honours.
As Kohli took the strike and du Plessis was at non-strike, RR captain Sanju Samson handed the ball to Boult and the Kiwi pacer did not disappoint his captain. Boult trapped Kohli LBW on the very first ball of the RCB innings to complete his 100th IPL wicket.
The left-arm pacer came steaming in and pitched the ball on the full length and in the line of the middle and leg stump. Kohli, meanwhile, went for a cross-batted flick and paid the price. The batter could not cover for the swing and the ball hit Kohli on his back pad and the RCB stand-in skipper knew he was gone.

Boult takes another!
After sending back Virat Kohli, Boult came back in his next over and bagged another wicket. The left-arm pacer got Shahbaz Ahmed caught at midwicket. As Ahmed tried to play a pull shot and could not time his shot, the ball lobbed up in the air and Yashaswi Jaiswal made no mistake.
