Amazon Prime Video praises Virat Kohli in a small video clip of the docuseries ‘The Test’

Former India captain Virat Kohli is undoubtedly one of the best modern-day batters across all formats. He has the strength to consistently perform for India. As India will open their campaign on Sunday, streaming platform Amazon Prime shared a small video clip on their official Youtube channel to praise this talismanic batter.

The 2:46 minute clip is a part of Amazon Prime’s upcoming documentary series The Test: A New Era for Australia’s Team. The docuseries is about Australia’s attempt to reclaim its title and integrity. In that video, Kohli could be seen scoring a ton against his favorite team, while Aussie cricketers like Adam Zampa and Glenn Maxwell, and commentator Harsha Bhogle are praising him.

Kohli has so far smashed seven half-centuries in 18 matches against Australia in T20Is, the most by any batter. Among the Indian batters, he has scored the highest- 90 runs off 55 balls in Adelaide in 2016.

Virat Kohli has, so far 14 years of experience playing for the Men in Blue. Youngsters often find something that they can learn from the 33-year-old batter. India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pan praised Kohli, saying how his experience helps in dealing with a pressure situation.

He (Kohli) can teach you how to go through situations, which might help you in your cricket journey going forward, so it is nice batting with him as always,” Pant was quoted as saying by the T20 World Cup site.

The 25-year-old then remembered the T20 World Cup 2021 where he stitched a 53-run stand with Kohli to score a quick 39 runs. In that Indian bowlers failed to break the opening partership of Babar Azam (79* off 55) and Mohammad Rizwan (68* off 52) that resulted in India’s defeat by 10 wickets. The Pakistani duo didn’t break sweat and succesfully chased down 151/7. It was also a record for the Men in Green to finally break the unwanted losing streak to India in the World Cups.

Kohli was the only player from India who showed resistance when other batters were stumbling against pace sensation Shaheen Afridi. The former India skipper scored 57 runs off 49 balls with five fours and a six to take his team to 151/7.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma’s men will be clashing against Pakistan in the Sunday’s match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to kick start their campaign in the ongoing T20 World Cup. India will eyeing to avenge their defeat to Babar Azam’s team in the Asia Cup 2023.
