A total of 30 companies have previously shown interest in buying the teams. The likes of Uday Kotak, Chettinad Cement, JK Cement, AWL Appollo, and Nilgiri among others had bought the ITT document. Those who fit the criteria will be chosen. Rs 1000 crore net worth clause is the key requirement.

Delhi Capitals’ (DC) GMR and JSW groups have bought the ITT separately. But a DC source confirmed Cricbuzz that the franchise will be represented by both the group.

Meanwhile, the inaugural WIPL is set to start on the first week of March and is expected to be played across two venues in Maharashtra.
