“Classic Kohli aggression is back,” Netizens can’t keep calm as Virat Kohli aggressively celebrates his third fifty at IPL 2023

Former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain, Virat Kohli known for his aggressive celebrations, has buried the horrors of IPL 2022 as he has already scored three half-centuries in just four innings in the sixteenth edition of the Indian T20 league. While Kohli hit his first two half-centuries against Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants, the RCB batter brought up the third half-century against Delhi Capitals, on Saturday.

The former RCB skipper started his inning with a couple of boundaries against Anrich Nortje. Kohli then nudged a few balls away and backed them with a few boundaries against Mitchell Marsh, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mustafizur Rahman. In no time, Kohli was on 49 off 31 balls. The RCB batter then nudged Rahman for a single to bring his third fifty of the season. Kohli then backed it with an aggressive celebration, just like the good old days.

While Virat Kohli provided the required flair with his half-century, Glenn Maxwell capitalized on it with a quick cameo (24 off 14). However, after Maxwell fell prey to Kuldeep Yadav, RCB crumbled with Dinesh Karthik departing for a golden duck. Harshal Patel, who was promoted up the order could also not make the most of the opportunity and departed after scoring 6 runs off 4 balls.

The Faf du Plessis-led team then ended up with a score of 174/6 in their 20 overs. Kohli remained the top scorer for RCB while their impact player, Anuj Rawat failed miserably, scoring 15* off 22 balls.
