“RR owns CSK”- CSK losing to RR twice in this IPL sparks a meme fest on Twitter
Having put on 202/5, RR outclassed the visitors by restricting them to 170/6 and winning the match by 32 runs on Thursday.
RR vs CSK
It was a cakewalk for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in front of MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) when the two teams locked horns with each for the second time this season, unlike their first encounter. Having put on 202/5, RR outclassed the visitors by restricting them to 170/6 and winning the match by 32 runs on Thursday (April 27) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Chasing the target CSK got off to an impressive start but spinner Adam Zampa, who replaced Trent Boult in the match, ran through CSK’s batting lineup. He first dismissed Devon Conway (eight off 16) then got rid of the other opener Ruturaj Gaikwad a few overs later. Gaikwad had scored 47 runs from 29 balls with five boundaries and a six.
This time, Ajinkya Rahane couldn’t surprise all, for he was sent to packing by Ravichandran Ashwin. However, Shivam Dube again played another praiseworthy innings. He smashed his half-century and departed off Kuldip Yadav’s delivery, scoring 52 runs from 33 balls with two boundaries and four sixes. But he alone couldn’t secure a win.

Memes galore after CSK’s defeat against RR
Before Dube, Moeen Ali who looked a bit dangerous, as he was going for biggies, was taken care of by Zampa as he dismissed the English batter in the 15th over. Ravindra Jadeja also couldn’t do much to the momentum with his unbeaten 15-ball 23 runs.
Notably, the Pink Brigade defeated CSK for the second time in this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After this thumping win, RR climbed to the top of the points table with five wins from eight matches, while CSK dropped to third place from the top with five wins from eight matches.
