In the past few days many Australian players and their families were getting abused by Indian fans after the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup Finals. Glenn Maxwell‘s wife, Vini Raman who is of Indian descent, called out the Indian fans for their abuses and defended herself.

Harbhajan Singh also went on X to defend their families, saying the trolling was in bad taste. He requested all Indian fans stop their behavior. He also reminded them that India played well but lost fair and square to Australia, who played better cricket.

Unfortunately, this tweet backfired on the Indian spinner as he was reminded of his remarks on Anushka Sharma and Athiya Shetty, wives of cricketers Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. When the cameras were panned on the actress duo, Harbhajan commented how they must be talking about movies as they could not understand cricket.

Regarding the World Cup Final, Singh claims India lost due to the pitch. Speaking to India Today, Singh said the pitch was too dry and slow for the batters, making it tougher to bat. If it was up to him, he would have preferred a pitch on which 300+ was possible.
