As New Zealand beat Sri Lanka, Pakistan’s chances of qualifying for the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup semi-finals have become close to zero. They would need nothing less than a miracle to face India in the semi-final. Assuming that Pakistan are knocked out, Virender Sehwag decided to give India’s rivals a send off on X and Instagram
The former Indian opener posted a photo of a giant screen that said, “Bye Bye Pakistan.” He later followed up with another tweet, again poking fun at the Pakistan team.

“Pakistan Zindabhaag ! Bas yahin tak tha jo tha (Whatever was there has ended). Hope you enjoyed the biryani and the hospitality. Have a safe flight back home. Bye Bye Pakistan!”Sehwag wrote on X.
Pakistan ki khaas baat hai ki jis team ko Pakistan support karti hai, woh team Pakistan ki tarah khelne lagti hai. Sorry Sri Lanka. (Whenever Pakistan supports one team, they start to play like Pakistan.
Netizens enjoy Virender Sehwag’s brutal tweet while others call him out
After viewing Virender Sehwag’s tweet, many people followed suit and made fun of the Pakistan team. Many noted how funny it was that everytime Pakistan depended on another team, they had failed. Some Indian fans said the Indian opener should leave the trolling to them.

On the other hand, some Pakistan fans said the tweet by Sehwag was not needed and some misunderstood it as a threat. They called him out and said the Indian icon was a terrible person as he posted that.
Pakistan are almost out of the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup. Thanks to Sri Lanka’s loss, their chances have diminished. Unless Pakistan win by a minimum of 287 runs, they are knocked out.
