David Hussey calls Arshdeep Singh the find of the T20 World Cup 2022

Former Australian cricketer David Hussey believes young Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh is the find of the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia. The left-arm pacer performed well in the absence of ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who was ruled out of the event due to a back injury.

“Arshdeep Singh is the find of the T20 World Cup,” David Hussey told DD Sports. Arshdeep earned a national team call-up following his consistent exploits in the IPL over the last couple of seasons. He made his T20I debut in 2022 and in a short time successfully won the trust of the management.

Despite having no prior experience, he did well for his side and no doubt, he is the one for the present and future.

Like every other Indian cricketer, Arshdeep Singh also expressed his feelings after suffering a heartbreaking loss in the semifinal against England. He took to the social media platform and captioned the post: “Gutted and devastated by the result. It’s a tough defeat for us to take but we will bounce back stronger. Grateful to all our fans all around the world who supported us throughout this World Cup campaign.”

Team India’s poor performance has raised many questions over their preparation and mentality. Many are even expecting some veterans to take retirement and let some young talents come in. It will be interesting to see how the selectors respond and build a team for the next edition.
