Arun Jaitley Stadium
Delhi Capitals will host defending champions Gujarat Titans on Tuesday (April 4) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The residence in Delhi witnessed rain and overcast condition on Tuesday morning and it is expected that rain and thunderstorm can play spoilsport in the evening.
Delhi wouldn’t want to miss this game because they faced a humiliating 50-run defeat against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their previous match. The match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was cut short due to the drizzle in Mohali which saw the host winning the match by seven wickets via the Duckworth Lewis-Sterm method.
However, to the relief of David Warner and co., the MET department has predicted a clear sky in the evening. The temperature can be around 24 degrees celsius with a humidity of around 48 percent. But there will also be a 13% cloud cover in the region.

The pitch at the Arun Jaitley Stadium has helped batters over the years in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Three teams have won batting first, while seven have won while chasing since 2019, and one also went to a Super Over.
The average first innings total since 2019 is 170. Spinners are expected to get some assistance from the pitch. Notably, the stadium will play host to an IPL match since May 2021. This will be Delhi Capitals’ first game at the stadium this season.
Meanwhile, the Delhi & Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) has confirmed that Delhi Capitals’ regular skipper Rishabh Pant will be in attendance to watch the match. Pant is not part of this IPL because he sustained several injuries in a car crash last December and is undergoing recovery.
“There’s good news for our spectators tomorrow. Despite his injury, Rishabh Pant is coming to support his team. He is a star of Delhi (Capitals). I hope spectators will give him a clap that he is coming among his cricketers despite such injury,” said Rajan Manchandra, Joint Secretary, DDCA to ANI news agency.
Talking about the previous matches of the involved team, Gujarat defeated four-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the curtain-raiser on March 31. Delhi, despite David Warner’s half-century, failed to chase down 194.
