Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has been granted divorce from his wife, Ayesha Mukherjee, by the Delhi court on grounds of cruelty and mental abuse. The two were married from 2012 to 2021, when Mukherjee confirmed on her social media that she had separated from Dhawan.

In court, Shikhar Dhawan alleged that his wife kept him away from his son for years and the Judge, Honorable Harish Kumar, accepted all allegations. Dhawan claimed that his wife agreed that she would stay in India, but due to a commitment to her ex-husband and the father of her two daughters, she had to stay in Australia along with Dhawan’s son.

Due to this, Shikhar Dhawan stayed separated from his son for long periods. The court stated that this separation caused him to “suffer immense agony and anguish of living separately from his own son for years.” Ayesha Mukherjee did not contest any of these allegations as well.

Another claim by Dhawan, which the court accepted, was that Mukherjee compelled Dhawan to make her the owner of 99% of three properties he purchased in Australia using his own money. Mukherjee didn’t contest these claims as well. After granting divorce, the Indian court has ordered Mukherjee to bring Dhawan’s son to India for visitation purposes with Dhawan and his family for half of his school vacations.

The Pakistan Cricket Team lost their 2nd warm-up match to Australia by 14 runs, as they could not chase 351. In the match, a classic Pakistan fielding mistake occurred during the 23rd over, where Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammed Wasim both left the ball for each other which resulted in a boundary.
