Virat Kohli has taken a break from white-ball cricket after the conclusion of the 2023 ODI World Cup. He and his wife Anushka Sharma are currently enjoying their holiday and their pictures have gone viral on social media.

Amid this, some social media users shared images of Kohli and Anushka with a restaurant food bill that had beef dishes such as beef tartar, and Japanese A5 12 at a restaurant in Florida. These fans slammed Kohli for eating beef despite “being a Hindu”.

However, as per altnews.com, the image of the restaurant bill is from 2020. A person named Jeffrey Paige had ordered the dishes while dining at British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s Gordon Ramsay Steak restaurant in Atlantic City, United States. The image of Kohli and Anushka is also from 2021 when the cricketer visited Dubai to take part in the T20 World Cup.

As per British news outlet The Mirror, Paige ordered these food items, resulting in a huge bill because he did not read the menu carefully. Also, the bill has a date stamp that shows the person who ordered those food items in 2020.

Jacques Kallis says Virat Kohli has a huge role to play in the South Africa series

India and South Africa will lock horns for two Tests, starting December 26 following the conclusion of three T20Is and three ODIs. As mentioned before, Kohli is not a part of the white-ball leg of the series and will join the team for the Tests. As India are yet to taste victory in Test cricket on the African continent, South African legend Jacques Kallis believes Kohli has a huge role to play.

He's a massive player, no matter where it is. Having played here quite a bit and had a fair amount of success. He'll be able to pass that knowledge on to the other guys, especially the younger guys, and give them ideas on how to manage these conditions and then what to expect.
Kallis said on Star Sports.

Kohli had a phenomenal campaign in the 2023 ODI World Cup. He broke several records, the most notable being surpassing Sachin Tendulkar by hitting 50 ODI tons.
