Virat Kohli has shown a form of arrogance every time he plays for India. Despite his struggles against the ball outside off, he continued to play his favorite cover drive. Despite the poor run in for months, he didn’t give up. And when his team needed him, Kohli always stood up. A controversial pacer from England decided to open up on his experience with Kohli.

Ollie Robinson has been under fire from Australian fans for his on-field behavior with Usman Khawaja. Missing from the England side due to injuries, he spoke to ESPNcricinfo about cricket in general. He spoke about his experience with the Australian side, the IPL and his absence from cricket. Ahead of the India tour, he spoke about how excited he is to face Kohli due to his “big ego”.

You always want to play against the best players, don't you? And you always want to get the best players out. Kohli is one of those. He's got a big ego and I think playing on that, especially in India, where he is going to want to dominate and score runs, playing on the fact we've had battles in the past, is exciting.

He also spoke about the 2021 Lord’s Test, where India bowled England out in just 51.5 overs. When he came on to bat, the India side then led by Kohli started getting vocal. Kohli went up to the pacer and said a few words before returning to the slips. Robinson said the entire side was really loud but couldn’t remember what Kohi said to him.

Ollie Robinson reveals IPL interest

During the 2023 ODI World Cup where England failed to reach the semi-finals, the England and Wales Cricket Board sent a few players to UAE for a camp. While in the camp, Ollie Robinson was informed that he had gotten interest from some IPL teams. The pacer told ESPNcricinfo he was surprised by the interest as he hadn’t played the shortest format in over two years.

He still put his name for the Auction, with a base price of ₹75 Lakhs, but went unsold. Robinson has only played Tests for his country, making his debut in 2021. He has played 19 Tests for England and has taken 76 wickets with an average of 22.21. He had a back spasm that had ruled him out of the 2023 Ashes. Later a finger injury ruled him out of the County Cricket season and since July he has not played a single match of cricket.
