Zimbabwe cricket team players were ecstatic as ever on Saturday as the Craig Ervine-led team beat West Indies in the group-stage game of the ODI World Cup Qualifiers. On the back of a team effort, Zimbabwe defeated two-time champions West Indies by 33 runs to bolster their chances for the 2023 ODI WC

It was a historic win for Zimbabwe and their players were chuffed to bits. As soon as Tendai Chatara got rid of Alzarri Joseph, there was a wave of jubilation at the Harare Sports Club. The local fans were cheering for Zimbabwe with all their might while the players celebrated aggressively on the field.

On the other hand, the West Indies players were distraught. Joseph who handed a straightforward catch to Sikandar Raza at short mid-wicket, sat with his head sunk into the turf. Although the Zimbabwe players came to check on Joseph, the West Indian was inconsolable.
