The 9th season of the Pakistan Super League recently kicked-off a couple of weeks ago, with Lahore Qalandars facing off against Islamabad United. Being of the most popular leagues in the world, the fans have not yet shown their excitement for the tournament, it seems.
In the recent match between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators, the 34,000 seat National Stadium in Karachi looked empty. Fans were present, but they were in patches of the stadium. The atmosphere was good, with fans making as much noise as possible, but it didn’t compare to the WPL.

The Women’s Premier League is currently going on, with the cities of Bangalore and Delhi playing hosts. On the same day as the Kings and Gladiators faced off, Delhi Capitals and Royal Challenger Bangalore played in the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The difference between the two games was that Chinnaswamy was filled to the brim.
Fans mock PSL for empty stadiums
Despite it being a second season of the Women’s Premier League match the crowds were really excited and loud, enjoying the match. The match proved to be a great one as well, with Delhi Capitals scoring 194 in their 20 overs, with 49 boundaries and 363 runs in both innings combined.

The fans did not miss out on the chance to mock the Pakistan Super League, thanks to their low fan turnout. They joked how no one cared about the PSL, further mocking fans for claiming the league was better than the IPL. Fans also praised the stadium-goers for supporting women’s cricket.
Check out their reaction:
With a win over RCB, Delhi Capitals jump to the top of the table thanks to net-run rate. They are tied on points with RCB and Mumbai Indians. Now UP Warriorz will be facing Gujarat Giants on 1st March, which will be played in the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
