Rinku Singh did not get the chance to display his prowess in the first T20I against Ireland due to rain, but in the second T20I, his arrival on the crease caused a flurry of excitement. He did not disappoint during the death overs as his stormy innings took India to 185/5 in their 20 overs on Sunday (August 20) at The Village stadium in Dublin.
Rinku walked in after the dismissal of Ruturaj Gaikwad who scored a 43-ball 58-run knock under pressure. Gaikwad and Sanju Samson‘s stand took India to 129 runs in 15 overs and after their dismissals, Rinku and Shivam Dube took control and started feasting on Irish bowlers.

He was, though, dismissed by Mark Adiar on the penultimate delivery of the last over with a catch by Craig Young. Shivam Dube remained unbeaten and he also smashed two sixes to score 22* runs off 16 balls.

Rinku became the cynosure of all eyes when he dazzled the watchers of the Gujarat Titans (GT) versus Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) match with his five back-to-back sixes in the last over to take the latter team to a stunning victory.
And as Rinku played this kind of a knock as a newcomer, fans started feeling that India have got a strong finisher for the 2024 T20 World Cup. They are expecting a lot more from Rinku.
