In match number 10 of the T20 World Cup 2022, South Africa played Bangladesh in an epic match at Sydney Cricket Ground. Temba Bavuma won the toss and elected to bat first but became the victim soon after he was sent to the dugout by the in-form Taskin Ahmed. Quinton de Kock continued his superb start to the World Cup by smashing 62 of just 38 balls along with the star of the show Rilee Rossouw who scored an unbeatable 109 in 56 deliveries. He was later on dismissed by Bangladeshi stalwart Shakib Al Hassan.
The pair had helped the team put up a strong total of 204 for a loss of 5 where the Bangladeshi captain took 2 wickets and Hasan Mahmud, Taskin Ahmed and Afif Hossain bagged a scalp each for the tigers.
The Bangladeshi innings started badly as they lost both their openers cheaply to Anrich Nortje. However, Litton Das tried to give the team a bit of stability to score 34 of 31 but couldn’t do more as he was sent back to the dugout by Tabrez Shamsi.
Bangladesh could only score a total of 101 runs after a great batting and bowling performance by the African giants. Anrich Nortje was their start performer as he bagged 4 wickets and gave away only 10 runs in his 3.3 overs. Tabrez Shamsi on the other hand took 3 wickets, with Keshav Maharaj and Kagiso Rabada taking 1 wicket each.

Currently, South Africa sits in first place in their group with a net run rate of 5.2 thanks to a 100+ run victory against Bangladesh who are third. The World Cup has been an interesting one and fans will hope to be entertained more.
