On the morning of 23th August, Heath Streak woke up to the news of his passing away. Confused, Heath saw tributes dedicated to him by fans all across the world pouring in on the internet. The 49 year old was shocked finding out he passed away.
His teammate, Henry Olonga, sent his condolences after learning of Streak’s “death”. Streak instantly texted Olonga that he is actually alive and that the news being spread is fake. Oolong shared the text with everyone and made sure everyone knew the news was false.
Later, Heath gave an interview with Spoststar and confirmed that he is alive and recovering. He was unhappy and asked everyone to be a bit more careful while spreading such fake news. Streak is currently recovering from cancer and is in a bit of strain due to the treatment.
Heath Streak was the captain of the legendary Zimbabwean Cricket Team from 2000 to 2004. He was regarded as one of the best all rounders of his generation. He led a legendary team that comprised the Flower brothers, Andy and Grant and Henry Olonga, the first black person to play for Zimbabwe.
