Pakistani players entered the field with immense delight thanking the Dutch team on their way as the former qualified for the semi-finals. In the second game at the Adelaide Oval, Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hassan won the toss and asked Pakistan to field first in a bid to finish above the Netherlands to avoid playoffs in the next segment of the tournament.
Najmul Hossain Shanto looked in good form as he smashed 54 of his 48 staying in the crease for a long time. Last match heroics could not be repeated by Litton Das as he went early for his 10. Shakib left for a golden duck on his very first delivery as Shadab dismissed him.
Soumya Sarkar and Afif Hossain added some valuable runs as Bangladesh set up a chasable total of 127. Shaheen Shah looked in fine form as he registered his best figures in the tournament by bagging 4 wickets and giving away 22 runs. Shadab Khan got two wickets while Iftikhar and Haris had 1 wicket each for themselves in a fine display of bowling.
Well, maybe this was the first time in the tournament that Pakistani fans witnessed a 50+ run partnership from their opening pair as Babar Azam scored his first double-figure runs in a single match. It was a slow start as Babar’s wicket came calling for the introduction of Mohammed Nawaz who was promoted up the order and managed to score 4 runs in 11 deliveries.
Mohammed Haris played his 2nd match and impressed with his 31 as Sham Masood scored 24 of just 14 deliveries. Pakistan just had to win the game irrespective of the run rate to qualify for the super 4, and they did the same as Pakistan reached 125 in 18.1 overs.

Fans are more than happy with kicking falling in their favor as Pakistan is in the super 4. India’s victory over Zimbabwe means Pakistan will face New Zealand in the semi-final. Fans had some epic reactions to Pakistan reaching the final four.
With the semi finalists confirmed, fans brace themselves for the mouth-watering clashes that are yet to come. Upsets and miracles have been a major part of this tournament with the weather playing a major role. It will be interesting to see what the final stages of the tournament has in store for cricket fans around the world.
