Danish Kaneria has faced harassment from his former teammates due to his religion. He was the 2nd Hindu to play for Pakistan and despite being one of their best spinners, he faced mistreatment with many teammates telling him to convert to Islam

Despite all the peer-pressure, he stayed strong to his religion and on 14th January he stated how happy he was with the inauguration of the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He posted a photo of himself with a flag of Lord Ram, with the caption of how the temple was close to being completed, with only eight days left for the inauguration.

Danish Kaneria extends support to India amid unrest with Maldives

In the past few weeks, relations have been tense between India and Maldives. Their President, Mohamed Muizzu, has openly called for Indian troops to leave their nation, while a deputy minister attacked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with derogatory remarks. The racist attacks came after he promoted the islands of Lakshadweep. Danish Kaneria has now extended his support for India during the unrest.
