During a recent interview with Hindustan Times, de Villiers said Kohli will play the final leg of his T20 career in SA20 and believes the South Africans there will give him a huge farewell. The Indian talismanic batter is currently on a break and will join the team for the two-match Test series in South Africa.

I think it would be very possible to get Virat over here. Maybe for his final season, we'll give him a wonderful farewell to the end of his career.
De Villiers said during an interview with the Hindustan Times

Notably, de Villiers is the brand ambassador of SA20 and believes the tournament is the “second most popular league outside the IPL.” He suggested that to make SA20 more like the IPL, it needs to have more entertainment, dancing, singing, and screaming.
