West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after India’s World Cup final loss to Australia. The match was played at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium and according to Banerjee, India would have won the tournament had Kolkata’s Eden Gardens or Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium hosted the final.

I can tell you if the (World Cup) final would have been in Eden or Wankhede, we would have won. They (BJP) have given them saffron jerseys.
Banerjee said.

Rohit Sharma and Co. used to wear blue jerseys during practice sessions. But they wore saffron jerseys for their practice sessions in this World Cup. Banerjee claimed that the BJP has “saffronized” the Indian Cricket Team.
