On 19th January, Paarl Royals faced MI Cape Town in the SA20. Electing to bowl first, MICT restricted PR to just 172 runs. MICT chased it down with ease, leaving 19 balls to spare. Ryan Rickleton scored an incredible 94* off 52 to win the match.
Despite the incredible win, a fan had made the news for a hilarious activity that has caught the eyes of fans across the globe. A camera panned on a female fan in the stands of the Newlands Stadium. Realizing the camera was panned on her, she started chugging her pint of beer and finished it in a single go.
She left the commentators and fans in awe, with everyone cheering for her. After a delivery, the camera panned on her yet again. She acknowledged the cheers she was getting and took a glass from the man sitting next to her. She once again chugged another pint with a great response from the fans in the stadium.
Fans impressed by incredible chugging skills
Fans on X (formerly Twitter) were highly impressed by the girl’s great drinking skills. Many called her a legend and praised her. One noticed how she spilt her drink but still admired her skills. One felt sorry for the man whose beer was taken by her. One praised Kevin Pietersen’s commentary, adding that it made the entire moment funnier.
