It was the youngster’s second consecutive double century in Test cricket, for he hit his maiden 200 in the second Test in Visakhapatnam. This made him the third Indian batter after Virat Kohli and Vinod Kambli to hit double centuries in successive Tests. Jaiswal also became the first Indian to convert the first three tons to 150-plus scores in Test cricket.

Jaiswal became the first Indian to smash two double centuries against England in Tests. The Mumbaikar hit 22 sixes in the series, breaking Rohit Sharma‘s record, who hit 19 sixes against South Africa in 2019.

Meanwhile, England are on the verge of losing the third Test. They have already lost seven wickets for 50 runs on Day 4 and have 507 runs to score.
