Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni hasn’t confirmed whether he will call time on his Indian Premier League (IPL) career after this season or not. He has kept everyone guessing and the talk surrounding his retirement won’t stop until the 41-year-old himself announce something regarding the same. He has been asked questions about this on several occasions but he didn’t reveal anything and continued to do his job. Now former India spinner, Harbhajan Singh, who also donned the CSK jersey, opined on the same and requested Dhoni to not hurt fans’ feelings and continue playing.

MS Dhoni has stopped time. He still looks the same old Dhoni. He’s hitting those big shots, taking those singles. Although he’s not running at his full speed, he’s hitting those sixes at ease and still looks dangerous with the bat. Don’t hurt our feelings MSD. You should continue playing,” Harbhajan said on Star Sports.

Harbhajan then praised Captain Cool for shutting down the noise and continue to guide his side brilliantly. He cited Ajinkya Rahane‘s example to show how Dhoni’s strategies and smart moves on the field helped CSK a lot. Rahane, surprisingly, has been in stunning form and on several occasions played crucial innings en route to CSK’s victory.

There are a lot of noises when a player approaches the back end of his career. MS Dhoni shut the noise brilliantly and guided his team slowly this season,” Harbhajan added.

CSK are currently standing second on the points table with seven wins from 12 matches and have collected 15 points. Just one win is needed for the four-time champions to qualify for another playoffs.

Their next match is against Kolkata Knight Riders today. KKR are placed eighth on the points table and it’s quite difficult for them to make it to the top four.
