Indian cricket’s beloved ‘Dada,’ Sourav Ganguly celebrated his 51st birthday on 8th July 2023. Wishes poured in for the former Indian skipper from various other members of the fraternity. While everyone was busy wishing Ganguly on his 51st birthday, the Prince of Kolkata dedicated this cause to a noble cause.

The ex-BCCI president made his international debut in 1992 and went on to play 113 Tests and 311 ODIs for India. The god of the off-side amassed 7,212 runs in Tests and 11,363 runs in ODIs for his country. Considered one of the greatest captains of Indian cricket, Sourav Ganguly led India to a 2-1 win against Australia in the 2001 Border Gavaskar Trophy.

On the occasion of his 51st birthday, Sourav Ganguly launched an app called ‘Sourav Ganguly Masterclass’ which includes an online course on leadership, curated by him. He also stated that the earnings made in the process will be used for educating the underprivileged.

About the celebrations, Ganguly revealed that he will stay at home with his family. “I will be at home with the family. It will be a quiet birthday. Daughter Sana has come here on her holidays, and she will be here till August. So completely a homely birthday this time,” said Ganguly to Revsportz.
