Afghanistan will kick start their campaign in the upcoming 2023 ODI World Cup on October 7, two days after the commencement of the tournament. They will face Bangladesh in Dharamsala on October 7. World Cup starts on October 5 between England and New Zealand (the 2019 World Cup finalists).

In total, the Afghanistan team will play nine league matches across seven venues. Their last match is against South Africa in Ahmedabad.

Except for their campaign opener against Bangladesh, all their matches will start at 2 PM (IST). They will square off against Bangladesh at 10:30 AM (IST).

10 teams have qualified for the World Cup and there will be 48 matches held between October 5 and November 19. The final on November 19 will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Below is the list of all the teams Afghanistan will face in the 2023 ODI World Cup.

In the 2019 ODI World Cup, Afghanistan were able to qualify for the tournament after contesting in the 2018 Cricket World Cup Qualifier held in Zimbabwe. However, they experienced only disappointment as they ended up at the bottom of the points table with zero wins from the nine matches.
