To attend the birth of his first child in Guyana, Rajasthan Royals’ Shimron Hetmyer was unavailable for team’s last match against Delhi Capitals. The absence of Hetmyer did make a great impact as they lost the game.

But now the Caribbean left-hander is now back in Mumbai for Rajasthan’s remaining matches. Rajasthan announced his return in hilarious tweet much to the delight of their fans.

Rajasthan Royals’ official Twitter handle posted a picture with the words in Hindi, “Pink-haired Hettie, come back.” The picture had the words in Hindi, “Hettie brother, pick up your phone. This is not a joke now.”

Shimron Hetmyer then took to Twitter and replied in Hindi: “I am here only”.

Shimron Hetmyer has scored 291 runs from 11 matches so far in this season. He has a brilliant strike rate of 166.29 with an impressive batting average of 72.75 to his name.

On Sunday, Rajasthan Royals will take on Lucknow Super Giants in the 63rd league match of IPL 2022. It will be played at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

The Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals are occupying the third position in the points table with seven wins and have 14 points. They have two matches remaining and if they win at least one of them, they can remain then on top four.

But if they failed to win the two games, then their chances to make it to the playoffs will depend on the outcomes of other games.
Their second fixture will be with the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings on May 20.
