India will lock-horns with England for a three-match T20I series where the first T20I will be played on July 7 (Thursday). Rohit Sharma has recovered from Covid to lead the Men in Blue while England will see their new captain Jos Buttler leading their side. Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant are given rest. But they will be availble from the 2nd T20I.

Both the countries played one Test match prior to the T20I. This Test was the rescheduled fifth Test which got postponed in 2021 following a Covid outbreak in the Indian camp. India had lost the fifth Test by seven wickets but because they were already leading the Test, this defeat levelled the series 2-2. After the T20I, both the countries will meet each other for ODIs.
