India vs Pakistan scheduled for 2 September as ACC announces 2023 Asia Cup schedule
The tournament will kick off on 30 August.

The Asian Cricket Council on Wednesday (19 July) announced the schedule for the 2023 Asia Cup and the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan clash is scheduled for 2 September in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The tournament will kick off on 30 August with hosts Pakistan taking on Nepal at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Meanwhile, India will open their campaign against the arch-rivals three days later.
Rohit Sharma and Co. will play their group-stage match against Nepal at the same venue on 4 September. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka will open their campaign against Bangladesh on 31 August and will play Afghanistan on 5 September.
Three of the six group-stage games will be played in Pakistan while the rest will be played in Sri Lanka. Pakistan’s Lahore will get another game in the Super Four stage. The rest five games in the Super Four stage will be played in Colombo. The Final will also be played in Colombo.
Jay Shah announces Asia Cup schedule
The 2023 Asia Cup schedule was announced by Asian Cricket Council President and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah. The ACC President revealed the schedule via a tweet on Wednesday.
“I am happy to announce the schedule for the highly anticipated Men’s ODI #AsiaCup2023, a symbol of unity and togetherness binding diverse nations together! Let’s join hands in the celebration of cricketing excellence and cherish the bonds that connect us all,” tweeted Shah.
