A total of 21 players have registered themselves for the base price of INR 2 crore for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction, which is set to take place on December 23 in Kochi. INR 2 crore is the highest base price brand at this auction. 991 players have registered themselves ahead of the event.

England has the most number of players who have registered their names at a base price of INR 2 crores. Sam Curran is one of them; he was the Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament at the T20 World Cup 2022, helping his team win the trophy for the second time. As per the reports in ESPNCricinfo and Cricbuzz, the names of those who have registered for the base price of INR 2 crore are:

If every franchise were to have a maximum of 25 players in their squad, 87 players are available to be bought in the auction (of which up to 30 players can be overseas player),” BCCI’s statement read. No Indian players have listed their names at INR 2 crores.

On November 15, all the franchises disclosed the names of their released, retained, and traded players. 163 players remained with their respective franchises, while 85 players were released.

IPL players’ registration ended on 30 November 2022 and a total of 991 players registered for the auction. The players’ list includes 185 capped, 786 uncapped, and 20 players from Associate Nations. The names of the 991 players aren’t yet disclosed by the BCCI.
