Fans want India speedster Jasprit Bumrah to play for India again and it seems the wait is over. Bumrah uploaded a video on his Instagram, giving an update on his fitness and sending social media fans into a frenzy.

The 29-year-old was recuperating from a back stress fracture and has been undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) after undergoing surgery. In the video Bumrah uploaded, he shared a series of pictures while the song ‘Coming Home’ played in the background. It’s important to tell that there’s no official confirmation regarding the same.

Notably, NCA has reportedly made it mandatory for the players to play domestic matches after being on the sidelines for many months due to injuries. India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also played a Ranji Trophy match for Saurashtra to prove his fitness before he was included in the Test team. Bumrah, meanwhile, may play in the upcoming Deodhar Trophy for West Zone.

Indian fans, though they are on cloud nine after watching this video, also warned the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to not rush Jasprit Bumrah if he ever suffers from an injury in the future. Some fans, as always, also mocked Bumrah for missing India’s important matches to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Mumbai Indians (MI).

Bumrah last played for India in a match against Australia in September last year. Rohit Sharma and Co. missed his services during the 2022 T20 World Cup as well as during the recently-concluded World Test Championship (WTC) Final.

He was expected to make a comeback after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series this year but the BCCI instead suggested the paceman to undergo surgery. He missed playing for the MI in IPL also. Now recent reports say that the MI speedster is expected to play against Ireland next month.
