Indian Bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been one of the most important players for the Mumbai Indians. Since 2013, Bumrah has played for the Mumbai-based franchise and credits them for his meteoric rise in the world of cricket. But a day after Hardik Pandya’s return to the team was announced, the pacer posted a cryptic story on his Instagram account.
He uploaded a story with the quote, “Silence is the best answer.” While the context is not known, the timing suggests it could be related to Mumbai Indians. Along with the quote, Bumrah’s following did not have Mumbai Indians, to which fans suggest there could have been a falling out between the team and the pacer.
Many fans started to theorize that the pacer wanted to captain the franchise, but with Pandya back that plan could be derailed. With Rohit Sharma having a few years of cricket left, many believed Bumrah would be his successor.
Bumrah made his IPL debut in 2013 and has played 120 matches for the Mumbai Indians. He has picked up 145 wickets with the average of 18.91 and economy of 7.4. Regarded as one of the best white ball bowlers in the team, Bumrah has succeeded in every phase of play, but is often utilized as a death bowler.
