“Bina Jos aur Yuzi ke”- Twitter reacts as Kuldeep Sen’s four-fer guides Rajasthan an easy win against Bangalore

Kuldeep Sen

With Kuldeep Singh’s four-wicket haul and Ravichandran Ashwin’s three wickets, Rajasthan Royals were able to restrict Royal Challengers Bangalore from reaching a decent target in the 39th game of IPL 2020 at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Tuesday, April 26.

Kuldeep Sen first sent back Faf du Plessis, then Glenn Maxwell for a duck, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Harshal Patel. In the 2nd ball of the 6th over, Kuldeep Sen bowled a short of a length and outside off. Du Plessis tried to take the aerial route as he slapped the ball but couldn’t the required elevation. Jos Buttler was at the covers, inside the ring, he hopped a little and caught it.

Kuldeep Sen then caught another big fish Glenn Maxwell in the next ball. Maxwell had tried to punch length ball through covers but got a thick outside edge to Devdutt Padikkal at first slip. And after this wicket, Kuldeep Sen was on a hat-trick but he couldn’t get it.

Earlier a brilliant bowling performance helped the Royal Challengers to stop the Rajasthan batsmen to score big. If it wasn’t for Riyan Parag’s half-century knock, RR would have scored a small total. Riyan Parag smashed 56 runs off 31 balls to help their team set a target of 144/8 for RCB. Mohammed Siraj, Josh Hazlewood and Wanindu Hasaranga scalped two wickets each for RCB.

But RCB’s batsmen faltered in scoring runs. The openers Virat Kohli scored a disappointing 9 off 10 with two fours. Faf du Plessis played slowly as scored 23 off 21 balls with three fours and a six. Rajat Patidar scored 16 off 16 balls, Shahbaz Ahmed scored 17 off 27 runs and, Wanindu Hasaranga played 18 off 13. Other batsmen scored single runs before getting bundled out for 115 in 20 overs.

So with this win by 29 runs Rajasthan now stands at the top spot on the points table with 12 points.
