Popular comedian-actor, Kumail Nanjiani, has previously spoken about his passion for cricket and supports the Pakistan Cricket Team actively. He has called Javed Miandad’s last-ball six against India as one of his favorite cricket memories as well.
Recently Pakistan toured New Zealand for five T20Is and Nanjiani made sure he watched the series. During one match, he made his wife watch a match with him and tried his best to explain how the sport worked.

While many found the video cute, the cricketer revealed that he failed to teach his wife how the sport worked. Pakistan ended up winning the match they were watching, as they bowled out the Kiwis and won by 42 runs.
Pakistan win first match since 2023 World Cup
Ever since the end of the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup, Pakistan had failed to win a single match until 21st January. Their poor run started with a whitewash at Australia, losing the Test series 3-0. Then they toured New Zealand for five T20Is, and lost the first four matches without much of a fight.

They finally won their first match on 21st January, over two months after the completion of the ODI World Cup. Electing to bat first, they made the low score of only 134, with Mohammad Rizwan being the top-scorer with 38 runs. Fakhar Zaman did score 33 off 16.
Shaheen Afridi and his men managed to bowl out the hosts for just 92 with Iftikhar Ahmad picking up three. They bowled them out in 17.2 overs and ensured they left the nation without a whitewash.
