LSG reach top of points table after beating RCB
The Lucknow-based team has played four games so far, winning three of them. Their only defeat came against MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) where, despite crossing 200, they fell short of 12 runs.
Last year, which was their maiden season, they ended up third on the leaderboard position, winning nine out of 14 matches they played. They are continuing their stunning performance this year also.
Their previous encounter against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was one of the most thrilling matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL). LSG pulled off an incredible one-wicket victory after surviving the last-over drama.
RCB posted 212 with three half-centuries from their star players. For LSG, Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran roared. But after their dismissals, the visitors found themselves faltering before a couple of mistakes from their opponents saw LSG win the match and subsequently replaced Rajasthan Royals from the top position of the points table.
