“Jahan bhagode apni Adalat…,” Gautam Gambhir takes battle to Twitter after on-field fight with Virat Kohli
With Gambhir tweeting for the first time after the Kohli fiasco, fans got confused about whom was the former India cricketer talking about.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) mentor Gautam Gambhir tweeted for the first time after he had an on-field feud with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli when the two teams met on Monday (1 May). This on-field spat grabbed eyeballs and made headlines for all the wrong reasons. The two cricketers became the talking point with fans, former cricketers, journalists, and celebrities actively reacting to the on-field incident.
There were two camps and quite obviously this on-field spat also became a debatable topic on television. Renowned journalist Rajat Sharma famously known for hosting a Q&A show ‘Aap ki Adalat’, also reacted to this whole fiasco and spoke in Kohli’s favour. Sharma called out Gambhir for not maintaining the sportsman spirit.
The senior journalist claimed that Gambhir’s arrogance reached newer heights when he became a Member of Parliament. Sharma also went on to say that Gambhir should have refrained from getting into an argument with Kohli. The video clips of this show anchored by Sharma went viral on social media and probably reached Gautam Gambhir.
Now, the LSG mentor has reacted to these claims made by Sharma on his show. Gambhir indirectly alleged Sharma of selling paid PR and also dragged his past history. “Man who ran away from Delhi Cricket citing “pressure” seems over eager to sell paid PR as concern for cricket! यही कलयुग़ है जहां ‘भगोड़े’ अपनी ‘अदालत’ चलाते हैं,” tweeted Gambhir on Wednesday.
Why is Gambhir associating Rajat Sharma with Delhi Cricket?
With Gambhir tweeting for the first time after the Kohli fiasco, fans got confused about whom was the former India cricketer talking about. Even after realising that the tweet was aimed at Rajat Sharma, fans could not get the context. So, for them, here is the explanation.
Rajat Sharma used to run Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) as the president of the state board. However, Sharma stepped down from the role of the president after serving for 20 months. His not-so-good relations with other members was cited as one of the reasons for his resignation.
