Michael Clarke slams Aussie team after BCCI dumps him from commentary panel
Former Australia skipper Michael Clarke slammed the Australia team for not playing a tour game in India. This remark came after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) reportedly removed him from the commentary job for the upcoming Gavaskar-Border Trophy.
Last week, a video emerged of his having an altercation with his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough in Noosa. As per reports, the BCCI previously considered including Clarke in its commentary setup but sacked his contract due to that wild behavior. According to the Daily Telegraph, the BCCI had been “holding secret talks” with other potential Aussie replacements for Clarke. Now new reports have emerged that Clarke has been offered the commentary job for the upcoming Pakistan Super League.

Later, Clarke returned to the radio show, The Big Sports Breakfast but did not address the issue. He though slammed the Aussie team for not touring India before the highly-anticipated Test series.
“That’s the part I don’t understand. The no-tour game before the first Test in India. I hope I’m proven wrong but I think that is going to be significant. Batting in those conditions in one-day cricket and T20 cricket is one thing, batting in Indian conditions in Test cricket is a completely different game,” he said on a local Australian radio station.
India is one of the toughest for the visiting teams because of its spin-friendly pitches, plus the crowd support. Clarke added that the Aussies need a completely different plan in India, and that, the reverse swing is going to play a big role in India.
Australia will come to India for the high-octane four-match Gavaskar-Border Trophy, starting February 9 in Nagpur. The Tests will also be crucial for Rohit Sharma and Co. as winning there can confirm their position for the World Test Championship final.
